Bali Arts Festival

During the annual Bali Arts Festival hundreds of performers come together for a colourful month of celebrations. The opening ceremony in Denpasar consists of a large parade of artists from all of Bali’s provinces representing their cultural heritage through dances and performances. The small Indonesian province and popular tourist destination is considered a melting pot. Hindus, Muslims, Catholic and Protestant Christians as well as a Buddhist minority call the island half the size of Jamaica home. The festival, celebrating the island’s diversity, traditionally starts on the second Saturday of June and runs through the month of July.
